Larimar is a tranquil blue stone like light dancing under clear, shallow waters. Volcanic in origin, but clearly oceanic, Larimar is said to calm fears and cool tempers, urging you to stand unflustered and express yourself with veracity. Rumor has it, Larimar carries echoes of ancient wisdom from Atlantis. Regardless of metaphysical lore, the stone has a fierce ability to draw you into its stillness like the sunrise over a glassy-smooth ocean. Larimar is truly a Caribbean stone, only found in the Dominican Republic.
This listing is for one of the two pictured Larimar Teardrop Rings. It is made of sterling and features shiny hammered “stars” of silver scattered about the thick, darkened band. The silver has been blackened with liver of sulfur then waxed to help extend the life of that patina. To keep the darkness of the silver, it’s recommended that you remove your ring when exposing your hand to water. Although, the patina may naturally fade with time.
