Process: The process of stained glass is very labor intensive, and each step is done entirely by hand. First, each piece of glass is cut into shape, and the edges are then ground smooth. Cooper tape is wrapped and secured around the edges of each piece. The final product starts to come together as each piece is soldered together into its final form. The solder used is made of 60% tin and 40% lead, but NO WORRIES, the lead is safe to handle and is only harmful if digested or inhaled. (Just in case there is any confusion, please do not lick the solder.) After a good washing, patina is applied, coloring the original silver solder black or silver. Finally, wax is used to clean and polish the piece. This lengthy process lends to stained glass that can last generations with proper care.

Care: Even though this piece is sturdy, it is still made of glass and should be handled with care. This stained glass planter is normally recommended for indoor use only, but minimal outdoor use is okay. Clean with lukewarm water and a soft cloth. Do not use products like Windex when cleaning. Anything containing vinegar, ammonia or any acid-based cleaner can destroy the solder. The piece will naturally oxidize over time, causing discoloration on the solder lines, but this can easily be removed with a wet q-tip or polishing cloth. Car wax can also be used to buff and shine the dulling or oxidized solder. Certain waxes are more abrasive than others and can affect the patina, so first test a small area before applying to the entire piece.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:
I charge flat rates for shipping International 1st class. If you require expedited shipping, please contact me prior to purchase so that I may make adjustments. Please be aware there may be additional customs fees or taxes that you may be responsible for depending on your location.


 

Refund Policy

RETURNS
If, for any reason, you are not happy with your purchase, please contact us within 3 days of receiving the item in order to be eligible to return it. Refunds will only be given after you ship the item back and it safely returns to me. Return shipping on refunds will be at the expense of the purchaser. An additional $10 fee (jewelry/mini terrariums) and $20 fee (terrariums/other décor) will be deducted from the original price of the item for shipping and processing.
Items should be returned unused and in the original packaging. I kindly ask you to make a secure packaging as it was for you so it gets back in one piece. Please ask for delivery confirmation, as I cannot be held responsible for loss in transit. And also note that refund is not possible if the item arrives in damaged condition.
I verify the delivery confirmations with tracking numbers through the post office, so if you claim that you did not receive your order despite delivery confirmation, I am unable to issue a refund or replacement.

LOST PACKAGES
If a item gets lost and doesn't arrive to destination, despite correct mailing address, I will provide store credit equal to the price of the lost item. However, I will need confirmation from our post office that the item was lost.

DAMAGED ITEMS
If an item is severely damaged when it arrives to destination, please contact us within 24 hours with a photo of the damage incurred to your item. I don't provide full refund for items damaged in transit but offer replacement free of charge. Please note that any request made later than 24 hours and without proof will not be considered as an eligible request. Once you provide a picture of the item that is damaged, I will send you a replacement of the product you purchased as soon as possible.
